On-device processing
Selected photos and detected metadata are processed locally. There is no cloud-processing fallback for photo contents.
Originals stay untouched
The app reads selected originals and creates separate copies. It does not silently overwrite or transcode unsupported files.

Only copies that pass the supported post-processing checks are included in sharing and saving actions.

What to know before sharing.
Does HushPic upload my photos?
No. Selected photos, OCR text, coordinates, and metadata values are processed on your device. Purchases, ads, and crash diagnostics may use the network, but those services do not receive photo contents.
Does it change my originals?
No. Originals are read-only. When processing succeeds, the app creates a separate verified copy.
Does every photo format support safe cleaning?
No. A format is treated as safely processable only when the app can read it, preserve supported visual properties, write the original format, and verify the output. Unsupported photos are excluded instead of being silently converted.
What metadata does it check?
The supported scope includes location, capture time, device details, author information, notes, and supported EXIF, XMP, IPTC, and text carriers. The app describes its checked scope rather than claiming a photo is absolutely risk-free.
